Terms of Service

PLAIN-ENGLISH EDITION. THERE IS NO OTHER EDITION.

The deal

Membership is $29.95 per month, billed as a recurring subscription. It buys one account (your screenname) and one line — one authorized IP address the retro services answer to. Add-ons (Extra Lines, domains, storage, channels and the rest) stack on top at the monthly prices listed on the front page.

Lines and access

The retro ports open only to addresses on your account's allow-list; you manage that list in the portal, and you are responsible for everything your lines do. Sharing access with non-members defeats the wall, and the wall is the product. Don't.

Passwords and plaintext

Your website password is chosen by you and stored only as a hash. Your service password is machine-generated on purpose: 1996 protocols carry credentials in the clear, so nothing you type into a vintage client should be a password you use anywhere else. We built it so you cannot make that mistake. Keep it that way.

Your content

What you upload stays yours. Hosting is static files only, quota-enforced, and it must be legal where the server lives and where you live. The operator may remove content or suspend accounts that put the service, its members, or its one operator at risk — a judgment call, with no appeals process bigger than an email.

Privacy

No tracking, no analytics, no advertising by default — inside the garden or out here. We keep what running the service requires: your account record, billing state (Stripe processes payment; card numbers never touch our machine), and operational logs. Nothing is sold, shared, or fed to anything.

Acceptable use

This is a small room; act like it. Unauthorized access attempts, abuse of other members, attempts to route from the garden to the live web, or interference with the service ends membership without prior notice.

No refunds

All payments are final. There are no refunds, in whole or in part, for any reason, including termination for misuse.

Hardware

Members provide their own period hardware and network access. YiffCloud does not sell, repair, or emotionally support hardware.

Availability

Service is provided as-is, without warranty. YiffCloud is a hobby run with production manners — real subscriptions, a real firewall, no SLA. Features may change or be discontinued at any time.
